What's a good multiplayer?

I'm new to the multiplayer scene, looking for really great multiplayer games; any suggestions?
(I have SWAT 4, Republic Commando, and Battlefield 2; they're good, but not great)
 
well battlefield 2 is mostly a really sweet multiplayer game so maybe you have some really high standards, anyways battlefield 2142 which is made by the same people who made battlefield 2, is coming out in a couple months, as well a another game coming out around the same time is Dark Messiah Might and Magic, its like elder scrolls oblivion and has a single player but has 32 player multiplayer battles. Any Unreal Tournament game, as well Half life counterstrike and Half Life 2 Deathmatch. Also Star wars battlefront 2 is good stuff, Also Quake Wars. I guess you could go the lines of Call of Duty 2. Thats all i can think of rate now
 
Counter-Strike: Source if you're into team based online shooters altho most pubs lack teamwork...get a clan maybe.
