What's your take on Projectors?

I'm kind of craving that big screen experience but don't have the cash to spring for a good rear projection of hugo plasma so I figure if I rake in some decent money this summer I might treat myself to a good projector and nice projector screen. Let me know what you think of the following:

you could try that, might be fun but if you're looking at a projector
i'd rule out the benq, 800x600 isn't enough

Yeah gaming on projectors I find is real nice if you have a wall to dedicate to it.

That, and if it's going to be in an area that you either have room darkening shades or no windows close by. That will really wash out the color, even on cloudy days. A big screen is best when you can see it in the right color, so keep that in mind.

Yeah I was planning on using it in my basement, I've got a big room that so far has served little purpose. If I threw in a couch I'd really have a nice dark gaming/movie room.
