Well, i was just in class today, and i overheard the instructor say a command but i wasn't sure what it did as i didn't hear that part, so i entered it to see what it did, turns out not much. SO, are you the type of person to just mess around with something, not really knowing whats going on, potentially messing something up. OR, are you the type to ask a bunch of questions, look around everywhere to try to find your answer before diving in. (looking up something before trying it)
 
i'd like to say i ALWAYS do thing by the book, however, i hate reading manuals & just want to know everything without learning it, but that's not possible, i just wish it was possible
 
It depends on what it is. I wouldnt run commands on a pc without at least googling them first. Other stuff I dive right in there. You can generally work out if you are doing something potentially destructive soo....

I used to try and work stuff out for myself but ive since discovered that there is no shame in asking for help if you need it. Think of it vice versa. Imagine someone who works away without asking for help and making lots of mistakes and then someone who continually asks questions. Both could be annoying but id have far more time and respect for the one asking questions... as long as they are still thinking whilst they are asking questions and are not being lazy.

true, but, sometimes people can't work stuff out - for whatever reason

i totally agree, if you don't know something try google & wiki and if you can't find out something then ask
 
lol, honestly, it was inside of a program, like a shortcut type thing, only not really, so i couldn't mess anything up. I will say this, and generally goes for any medium, figuring things our for yourself generally works out best in the long run, ie your lean more. Not that asking questions is bad, but if you try and do all you can think of within reason first, and then your still stuck, a question is a good idea. However, it doesn't help anything if at the first sign of trouble, or the first little hang up and you ask a question(s) and have some one hold your hand.
