Windows 2000 Theming?

Hi, i am trying Windows 2000 as its alot faster than Windows XP, i noticed that Windows Blinds 5 wont work due to the fact that some performance features in XP aint in Windows 2000, does anyone know what these Performance Features are and if its possible to somehow get Window Blinds 5 to work in Windows 2000 because i like the glass effects.

Also i dont like the crappy Icons in Windows 2000, anyway to change those withought having to go through them all 1 by 1, maybe some Icon packs?

Is there a way to also change the startbar so it's more like Window XP or even like Vista's?
 
Ive not a clue how to theme windows 2000 but id imagine its the good looks of XP which make it slower than 2000.

If you go making 2000 as pretty as XP (with window blinds or whatever) it will probably be just as slow as XP. And with one or two less features!
 
well, windows XP with Window Blinds + Windows 2000 with Windows Blinds, Windows XP would be slower, as i dont think it aint just the looks of Windows XP that makes it slower, is there any mod's or themes or somthing for WIndows 2000/XP that make it look more like mac or with a diffo interface to what WIndows XP has to start with as it's getting preety boring now having to look at the same thing over and over again.
 
I use object bar for Windows 2000, then use whatever wallpaper and have you
tried Icon packager for the icons? You might want to check out
ThemeWorld.com for some of the stuff you are looking for..
 
I have loads of theming apps all form stardock, i got so many i dont know what to do with them all :p, some i dont even have a use for or dont know what they do :p
 
Window Blinds version 4.6 works with windows 2000 ..... you just use windowblinds 4.6 and objectbar for the tool bar and then use IconPackager for the icons....
