Hello hardware forum members. My Windows XP Pro computer didn't start up this morning after I turned it off last night. Each time I press the power button on my computer. The BIOS logo comes on, which is normal. After the BIOS screen, the computer starts to boot into Windows XP, though it stops at a screen that is black and gives me a couple options to boot Windows XP Here is a list of what it offers me:
Safe Mode
Safe Mode With Networking
Safe Mode With Command Prompt
Last Known Good Configuration
Start Windows Normally
I have selected the following options, Safe Mode, Last Known Good Configuration and Start Windows Normally. Each of these selections of followed with the computer to restart back to the BIOS logo screen and continue to boot back to the Windows boot options. There is no way of me getting into my Windows XP Computer at the moment because its always doing this to me. Hopefully someone could help determine the problem, or provide a recovery file for me, that could reinstall the .dll's and .sys's files and succesfully boot Windows XP again. I don't have the Windows XP CD anymore to reinstall Windows, so I'm a little out of luck with that.
Thanks for your time and reading. :) :)
