Xp wants to install again, but i don't want it to! BOOT NOW!

Right.

I had troubles with my pc before, and i have fixed some of those troubles. If you want to see my troubles please go to:

However in brief, i know Windows XP is installed on my computer.

Previously with a Windows XP Boot Floppy i have done: fdisk/mbr

First what happens is this (click here)

Then what happens is this (click here)

I need to get into Windows without reinstalling it and loosing all my data! It has already been installed, and i don't want to re-install it over the top again!

Please help!
 
Windows is really fragile, so having read what you've already tried I'd recommend simply booting to a Linux distro and burning a CD of any important data you need from your XP partition. Then, if you still want to multiboot, create the empty partitions for Linux in advance (i.e. don't resize the Windows partition, that can cause problems with XP). Install XP first, then your Linux system(s). I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but I work with multi-boot systems all the time at work (Linux-only at home), and Windows has a glass-jaw for filesystem corruption. Sorry.

Hi if you go and let it do a setup when it come to the part to upgrade press enter, this will install your files and windows but leave your good files in tact.

That method overwrites the registry, rendering previously installed software useless.
