I'm still having no luck. I left Nero running last night and converted it to the Nero digital to see what it would do. It burnt to the DVD but it still came up bad disk when I tried it in my DVD player this morning. Please clever people! Help me!:crying:

Thanks for the suggestion. I have just tried it. However isn't VCD a cd? I need to put it onto a DVD as its too big to put on a cd. It wont let me go any further as it says there isn't enough space. Please help :(

Thats what I was going to ask next. All of the above worked but there is still over 70 processes running once everything has booted up. So I can change them in the services bit of the computer management?

Ah thats it. I have selected that in an attempt to speed it up as there is always so many processes running in the backgroud. Ok I will change this and see what happens. Is there anyway I can stop programs running at start up from a single list like config?

Hi, thanks for your help. However, I have done that several times but it doesn't seem to save them. Everytime I restart the pc I have to go back in amd do them again. Would creating a system restore point be good when I have activated all the services I need?

I'm no expert at all but my fan speed it running at an average of 4817 RPM. I would double check this setting.

Thats a bit expensive. I think the sound your getting is an alarm. Check through the options available under CMOS Setup for virus scanning or thermal/heat sensor alarm. If its enabled is has to be something to do with it overheating.

Heat issues occur when running high grafix applications. Some things that you might want to try would check your bios, look for devldr16.exe (comes with sound blaster cards) you would need to adjust something there but not quite sure what it is, or even check with the manufaturer of the system...

Hi, I stupidly changed my password that you have to enter before the system boots up. I must have done it in a hurry and mistyped it as I cant get into it now plus I haven't been on it in a while so I think i've forgot. Can anyone tell me how to find out what it was or overide it?
