    Gaming Problem

Registry damage? Try and get a registry fixer and see if that makes a difference. I remember the last time this happened to me was because my registry was badly damaged. Good luck, Mike

Pre-release Vista copy coming my way

Hey all, I signed up for something at my workplace where I'll be given the very final beta version of Vista (only available to OEM's, major brands, PC retailers and technical support call centres) and given 40 hours of intensive training learning about all the new features and diagnostic...

Thanks, and also the exact model of the AGP graphics card you're using please. Other hardware you have needs to be listed to so I can assess how much power your PC needs to run and how much power it's getting or needs. Thanks, Mike

    AGP slot broken?

It is possible that the AGP port is damaged but the best way to diagnose a problem is to exhaust all other possibilities first. It's always best to check if it's something that can be resolved without replacing a part before coming to the conclusion that buying a new part is inevitable. You...

    cpu help

Since you first used the 2.66ghz on this new board, do you reckon it could be possible that the voltage settings have been automatically set to lower than the new CPU requires (and maybe the bios update doesn't make the mobo able to change the voltage, rather instead just lets the board...

Weirdest thing I've seen in a long time: upside down display!

Hotkeys differ depending on your VGA, laptop model, or desktop manufacturer. On laptops usually it has something to do with the Fn key? Mike

    AGP slot broken?

How good is your power supply? Remember that anything plugged into the AGP slot is drawing power from your main wattage and if your power isn't sufficient enough, your graphics card can fail to work (When I used to have power issues the first thing that malfunctioned was my VGA) Mike

Which one of these processors is faster?

Well, there seems to be a bit of confusion but I understand how I could've caused it... There's the Athlon (Now flagship 64bit processors, used to be 32-bit on sktA boards and earlier), Sempron (budget processors capable of 64-bit but definitely not for gaming), Duron (obsolete), and Turion...

External Drive not recognized in 'My Computer'

Have you tried plugging a USB device into the same USB port? Also check the USB cable you use to link the external HDD to the USB port. Is there any damage? Are you able to change the cable to test if it's that which is faulty? Just a few things worth trying... Mike

External Drive not recognized in 'My Computer'

Well getting into the BIOS is different dependant on your motherboard... Sometimes you have to keep hitting delete when you start your PC up, or sometimes it's one of the F keys. When your PC does its power on self test with all the writing on the (usually) black screen it might say "press * to...
