Is your motherboard AGP or PCI-E, it would be insane to get an X850XT over an 8800GTS, the GTS is like 4+ times more powerfull than it. The thermaltake PSU's should be fine, I will be using an Hiper Type-R 580W to power my AMD 3700+ and 8800GTS 640mb.

Hi. I was just looking at a review of a Gainward Bliss 640mb Golden Sample 8800GTS, and It came with a PCI-E to 2 Molex connector cable, does this mean I would not have to use my PCI-E cable and I could use 2 Molex plugs instead?

8ms and loweris ok for gaming, my 19" Widescreen LCD from Acer is 5ms and is perfectly good for gaming. Gaming aint very good on Vista atm, I found some games to work perfectly whilst others will either run badly or not at all...

From what I have seen, it seems like its a Memory leak now, in Dark Messiah Might & Magic, when I turn texture settings to highest, there is a super slow down and lag that, and its a Memory leak, I think its the same with EQ2, memory leak with the graphics memory.

daworz, If I was you, I would install XP untill SP1 for Vista comes out, also if the laptop has 1GB of ram, things may slow down.

I am gonna get the 640MB version anyway :) Because in the long run it might matter for example If a game takes up 512mb of Vram then its gonna be laggy with only 320mb of Vram.

Yea that should be fine but when you decide to get a better graphics card such as a DX10 card one day, you will need to upgrade it again.

Yea its not bad, its got a matrix mode on it, but I heard that aint very good at upmixing to 5.1 like PL2 is, the X540's are basically the same as the X530's except with a different look and the sub is down firing now and not side firing like in the X530.
