Vengence for posting about Firefox 2 before me :P.:swear: I was hoping to announce this! :) I've added a poll to your thread, Addis
Same with me, I've only just got Kubuntu working nicely on my laptop, and had some issues to deal with on Dapper. I'll wait a while before upgrading.megamaced said:I doubt I will upgrade to 6.10, at least for awhile. I've got both my Ubuntu and Kubuntu machines working perfectly and don't want to risk losing it all through an upgrade.
I would really recommend NetworkManager. It was a really great help in setting up my network, especially if you use WPA security, it configures wpa_supplicant for you in a nice GUI.I've got it downloaded and ready to install on my laptop. I'm hoping it'll all go smoothly, especially after the problems Addis has faced with his wireless network. A simple install of the MadWiFi drivers for my Atheros chipset and all should be well :)
Thanks for the heads up  I'll give that a try for sure. And yes, i do use WPA security.I would really recommend NetworkManager. It was a really great help in setting up my network, especially if you use WPA security, it configures wpa_supplicant for you in a nice GUI.
My main problem was getting my damn wireless card activated, because Acer decided that the only way to activate the card would be to have it software controlled.
One annoying thing is that I no longer get messages about what is currently happening in the boot up process.
It's always loaded fine with me.One question: Is wireless (with ndiswrapper) still loading soooooooo slowly???
